A small number of the gold pieces are very slightly underweight.
Most of the gold pieces are overweight.

 

1) Cob style, struck on silver plug using 41mm octagon Liberty Head die (front)
     and 16mm Liberty Head die (back). Reverse side also stamped with
     “.999 SILVER”, gram weight, “GRAMS”.
     Weights range from 83.1 grams to 115.5 grams.

2) Most of the 1.5-troy-oz silver pieces are slightly underweight
     at about 46.15 grams. Octagon.

3) Three die-trial test-strikes were also produced as follows:
     Copper, marked “COPPER” at bottom of reverse and top edge, broad-struck;
     Copper, marked “COPPER” on bottom and top edges;
     Brass, marked “BRASS” at top of reverse and on top and bottom edges.

Rounds have reeded edge. Octagons have smooth edge.

    Liberty Head “V” nickels, Indian-Head/Bison nickels,
    25mm copper-nickel blanks (one with reeded edge),
    25mm aluminum souvenir token, 25mm brass amusement token.
    All were struck with Die Pair 1, raised “JBL * DC” on neck truncation.

    All have massive split-die breaks on obverse and reverse.

2) Struck in native Colorado gold, .825 fine. Approximately 15% of the alloy is
    naturally-occurring silver. Weight varies from about 8.7 grams to 8.9 grams.
    Net gold content is comparable to a traditional US $5 gold piece.
    One test was multi-struck on a 39mm brass blank.
    All were truck with Die pair 2, incuse “JBL * DC” on neck truncation.
