“1933” Native-Head Fantasy Over-Strike Sunken-Relief Half Eagle – Production Blog

1933 is a notorious year for American gold coinage, with the confiscation of the 1933 $20 gold Double Eagles and the very limited production of 1933 Native-Head $10 gold Eagles. After 1916, the only Native-Head $5 gold Half-Eagle produced was the (rare) 1929 issue.
